[09-18-2022] Orange County, CA – Pedestrian Killed In DUI Hit-and-Run at a Bus Stop in Santa Ana

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a DUI driver in Santa Ana on Sunday, September 18, 2022.

Police were called shortly before 5:00 p.m. to a bus station close to 1500 S. Fairview St.

The Pedestrian was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead Monday.

According to police, the motorist who hit the pedestrian fled the scene but was apprehended shortly thereafter. He was detained on Sunday and held on a $100,000 bond.

55-year-old Juan Venicio G. of Anaheim was arrested on Tuesday and charged with hit-and-run and felony driving under the influence.
