According to a California Highway Patrol news release, a pedestrian was killed after getting struck by a pickup truck on Roberts Lane on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.
The crash occurred at 9:38 p.m. on Roberts Lane, west of Belmont Avenue.
An unidentified make and model of a pickup truck struck a man who was crossing Roberts Lane.
The pickup truck then sped away from the scene.
The man was taken to Kern Medical, where he passed away due to his wounds.
The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed.
The CHP’s Bakersfield area Office is still investigating the crash.
