A 25-year-old man identified as Manjot Singh T. was killed while two Galt officers were seriously injured after a head-on collision near Dillard Road on Sunday morning, August 22.

A Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Singh was heading southbound on Highway 99 when, for unclear reasons, he crashed through the center divider and veered into the northbound lanes, where he collided head-on with an oncoming police patrol vehicle.

The Dodge Ram pickup truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His two passengers were moderately injured and were immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment. The two officers in the patrol vehicle were trapped in the wreckage. They were identified as Harminder G. and Kapri H. They were extricated by emergency personnel.

Both officers were immediately rushed to an area hospital for treatment. One of them is currently in critical condition, while the other is in a stable condition. It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
