One person was killed after a deadly semi-truck accident in Nipomo on Wednesday afternoon, September 1st.
The accident occurred at approximately 4:12 p.m. on Highway 101 northbound at the Willow Road offramp in Nipomo.
A semi-truck crashed into a guardrail which caused the excavator to detach from the trailer. The excavator then rolled off the highway and landed on top of two vehicles that were on the offramp below.
A black sedan was also reportedly involved in the accident. It sustained major damages from the mishap.
Unfortunately, one driver was killed in the collision. No other injuries were reported. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.
Local authorities are currently investigating the possible causes of the accident.
