[02-25-2024] Fresno County, CA – One Person Hospitalized After Pursuit Led to Hit-And-Run Collision Along Belmont Avenue

One person was hospitalized after a pursuit led to a hit-and-run collision in Fresno on Sunday evening, February 25, 2024.

According to the Fresno Police Department, the collision occurred at about 7:45 p.m. between Belmont Avenue and Glenn Avenue.

Patrol officers reportedly identified a stolen Kia, which fled at a rapid pace. The driver tried to turn into an alley but slammed into a fence instead.

A man and woman from a nearby homeless encampment complained of pain. The man was taken to a hospital for examination.
