According to Fresno police, a fight broke out in a gas station, injuring one man on Monday, March 21, 2022.
According to police, the fight happened on a Monday evening at the ampm Store on Tulare and First streets in Fresno.
Initially, the incident was reported as a robbery, but police say they were able to determine that it was actually a fight between two men.
During the fight, one of the men pulled out a sharp weapon or boxcutter and slashed the other man in the arm, according to police.
The man with the wound was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The man accused of firing the weapon was apprehended and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and violating his parole.
According to officers, he was on parole and had an outstanding parole warrant for a robbery.
The identities of the involved have yet to be disclosed.
According to police, no robbery occurred at the store during the incident, no store employees were injured, and the cause of the fight is still being investigated.
