[04-13-2022] One Person Injured After a Big Rig Crash in GaltAt least one person was injured after a major big rig collision in Galt on Tuesday morning, April 12, 2022.

According to the initial reports from the California Highway Patrol, the major accident happened in Galt.

An eastbound pickup truck was traveling on Galt when the driver veered into the opposite lanes for unclear reasons and crashed into a big rig.

The pickup truck driver attempted to free himself from his seat before authorities and emergency personnel arrived.

The pickup truck was severely damaged following the crash, but surprisingly, the driver only sustained minor injuries. The pickup truck driver was taken to an area hospital to be evaluated and treated.

The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the case. They suspect that the sun’s glare may have affected the driver’s vision, but no confirmation has been made yet.
