A woman was killed after a hit-and-run crash in Bakersfield on Tuesday night, April 21, 2026.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident was reported at around 9:08 p.m. in the 1500 block of Feliz Drive.

Officers arrived at the scene and found a woman lying in the roadway with severe injuries. She was transported to a hospital, where she later died.

Investigators stated that the woman had been in the roadway for an unknown reason when she was struck by a vehicle. The driver initially fled the scene but later returned and cooperated with authorities.
