Two people were killed after a fatal car accident involving a wrong-way driver in Beaumont on early Saturday morning, April 23, 2022.

[04-23-2022] Riverside County, CA - Two People Killed After a Deadly Wrong-Way Crash in BeaumontThe collision transpired at approximately 3:37 a.m. in the area of Highway 60, near Jack Rabbit Tail in Beaumont.

An eastbound Hyundai Sonata was traveling in the westbound lanes for unclear reasons and collided head-on with an oncoming Chevrolet Malibu.

Unfortunately, both the Hyundai and the Chevrolet driver were killed in the collision. They were identified as 28-year-old Eva Lopez G. and 49-year-old Thomas A.

Meanwhile, a 40-year-old passenger inside Malibu was seriously injured in the crash and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Another person sustained minor injuries but refused hospitalization. The identities of the injured parties have not been disclosed.

Local authorities are further investigating the case.
