[04-26-2023] One killed, Another Suffered Major Injuries After Motorcycle vs. Vehicle Collision in BakersfieldOne person was killed, and another suffered major injuries following a collision between two motorcycles and a vehicle in northwest Bakersfield on Wednesday morning, April 26, 2023.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the crash occurred shortly after 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Jet Way and Rosedale Highway.

Officials stated that two motorcycles were traveling close to each other southbound, turning onto Jet Way from westbound Rosedale Highway, when a pickup truck heading east on Rosedale Highway collided with them.

One of the two motorcyclists died at the scene, while the other suffered severe injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The Nissan truck driver was not injured and cooperated with BPD’s investigation.

Authorities said that multiple eyewitnesses had been interviewed, and the official cause of the accident is still under investigation.
