One person was severely injured, and four others had possible injuries following a car crash in Rio Vista on Sunday, May 14, 2023.
According to the Rio Vista Fire Department, the crash occurred on Highway 160, just south of Highway 12, near the border between Solano and Sacramento counties.
California Highway Patrol firefighters extricated the driver from the vehicle, and a helicopter transported him to a trauma center where he was treated for life-threatening injuries. Four more people were evaluated at the scene but released.
Officials have not released any information about what may have caused the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
