[05-16-2023] Riverside County, CA – One Killed, Four Injured After Violent High-Speed Collision in Arlington & Stover Ave.

An 8-year-old boy was killed, and four others were injured after a violent high-speed collision in Riverside early Tuesday morning, May 16, 2023.

According to the Riverside Fire Department, the head-on collision involving two vehicles occurred at the Arlington and Stover Avenues intersection at about 7:30 a.m.

Based on the footage, the westbound white Honda sedan appeared to have lost control and collided with the eastbound grey Nissan Sentra at a very high rate of speed.

All four occupants of the Sentra, including three children aged 8, 10, and 16, were hospitalized with conditions ranging from serious to critical. Unfortunately, the 8-year-old boy later succumbed to his injuries.

The 22-year-old driver of the white vehicle was transported to the hospital in serious condition.

The crash left both vehicles severely damaged. Arlington Avenue was littered with debris from the accident.

Investigations into the crash are still ongoing.
