[05-28-2023] Kern County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed After Reckless Two-Vehicle Collision in Bakersfield

A motorcyclist was killed after a reckless two-vehicle collision in Bakersfield late Sunday morning, May 28, 2023.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the fatal collision happened around 11:15 a.m. between Airport Drive and State Road.

A vehicle was driving along Airport Drive and failed to stop at the red light, which caused it to collide with a motorcycle rider.

The victim sustained critical injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.

The authorities are investigating the fatal collision alongside the vehicle driver.
