[05-31-2023] Ventura County, CA – Hit-and-Run Car Crash on Gonzales Road in Oxnard Injures One Person

One individual was injured after a hit-and-run car crash in Oxnard on Wednesday afternoon, May 31, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. in the 4100 block of West Gonzales Road.

The report said that before the fatal crash occurred, the driver was involved in a hit-and-run accident near the Gonzales and Victoria Avenue junction. The Oxnard Police Department responded to a hit-and-run incident involving the same Land Rover LR4.

The Land Rover collided with a Honda Civic before leaving the scene. Although the driver of the Honda experienced pain, their injuries were not severe.

Deborah A., a 36-year-old resident of Santa Paula, who was identified as the driver of the Land Rover, was declared deceased at the location of the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
