A 27-year-old died, while four others, child included, were injured after a single-vehicle crash involving a tree in Willow Creek, Sacramento, on Wednesday afternoon, June 7, 2023.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, the fatal crash occurred on Barandas Drive and Sweet Maple Way at around 2:20 p.m.
One adult, Marryam N., 27, did not survive the crash, while the four other occupants, which includes a child, were seriously injured.
Sergio W. and other residents of Willowcreek took the initiative and helped the victims. A man was heard shouting, “It was all my fault, my fault.” as the rescuers tried to settle him down.
Officers from SPD have not yet released information on what exactly caused the crash.
