An unidentified female pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run crash in Rialto late Monday night, June 12, 2023.
According to the Rialto Police Department, the crash occurred around 11:15 p.m. near Riverside Avenue and Santa Ana Avenue.
Authorities stated that arriving officers discovered the woman lying in the roadway who had reportedly been struck by a vehicle and pronounced her dead at the scene.
Officials reported that the driver involved in the collision fled the scene, and investigators had no description of the vehicle or the driver.
The department’s Major Traffic Collision Team has taken over the investigation, looking for any surveillance video.
No additional information has been released, and anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact the authorities immediately.
