[06-19-2023] Multiple People Injured Following Multi-Vehicle Collision in Hyde Park Shooting IncidentMultiple people were injured following a multi-vehicle collision that resulted from a shooting incident in Hyde Park, Los Angeles, early Monday afternoon, June 19, 2023.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision happened around 12:15 p.m. in the 3100 block of West 54th Street.

Three vehicles were found at the scene: a white Honda, a white Audi, and a black sedan. The Audi crashed into a building while the other two vehicles collided.

It is unclear how many people were involved, but most of them sustained minor injuries, except the 48-year-old Honda driver and his 8-year-old son, who both sustained gunshot wounds.

Prior to the collision, a shooting occurred involving the occupants of the white Honda and an unknown gunman who fled after the shooting. Both father and son were taken to a local hospital, where they are recovering.

The authorities are currently conducting an investigation regarding the incident.
