According to the authorities, a woman walking three dogs was struck by a hit-and-run driver running through a stop sign on Klamath Drive Monday, June 27, 2022.
According to the Westminster Police Department, the crash occurred before 6:15 a.m. near Klamath Drive and Iroquois Road.
The woman was allegedly chasing after one of the dogs the woman was with, according to the police. A silver SUV sped past a stop sign as she ran after the dog.
The woman was taken in critical condition by ambulance to UCI Medical Center. Officials did not say which of the dogs were struck by the SUV, which is thought to be a more recent Ford Explorer model.
Police are currently looking for the suspect in the hit-and-run. The hood and left corner of the suspect car may have been damaged, according to Westminster PD.
