[06-30-2023] San Francisco County, CA – Hit-and-Run Crash in Richmond District Leaves Two People Hospitalized

Two people were injured and hospitalized after a hit-a-run collision in Richmond District, San Francisco, on Friday afternoon, June 30, 2023.

The local authorities stated that, at approximately 12:00 p.m. at 14th Avenue and Clement Street, a hit-and-run crash and shooting incident led to two people being hospitalized.

An individual involved in the incident, driving an SUV, was unintentionally caught up in what appeared to be a pursuit involving the suspect’s vehicle, resulting in the collision. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a nearby hospital.

Authorities located the abandoned suspect vehicle near 15th Avenue and Clement after witnesses reported three individuals wearing masks fleeing the scene. Shortly before 12:15 p.m., a man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound was found and taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The investigation revealed that the critically injured man was one of the suspects who had fled the hit-and-run incident.
