[07-14-2023] Bicyclist Injured After Hit & Run Crash on Elkhorn BoulevardA bicyclist was injured after being run over by a hit-and-run driver in north Sacramento on Friday evening, July 14, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident at about 8:00 p.m. on Elkhorn Boulevard, west of Butterball Way.

The cause of the accident remains unclear, as well as the bicyclist’s condition. There is no information on whether the victim was transported to a hospital. The vehicle’s driver reportedly drove away after the accident.

However, several parts of the car were left at the scene. It resembled a Ford Mustang from 2010 to 2014 in white or silver color. The suspected car likely has a missing or broken left mirror, a damaged or missing front left wheel well, and a possible damaged front bumper.

Any witnesses who have seen a car with similar damage are asked to contact the officials immediately as they continue investigating the crash.
