Two people suffered injuries following a multiple-vehicle collision involving four vehicles on northbound Interstate 5 in Buttonwillow on Monday, October 31, 2022.
The crash occurred around 10:40 a.m. on northbound I-5, north Twisselman Road.
According to local officials, the collision caused moderate injuries to Allan S., 77, and Susan S., 76, both of El Dorado Hills, California. They were both taken to Mercy Hospital.
Simranjeet S., 20, of Vacaville, California, was driving a semi-truck on I-5 north of Twisselman Road between 55 and 60 miles per hour while in a construction zone, according to the local authorities’ investigation into the crash.
Singh was traveling at high speed and could not stop safely behind the gridlocked traffic up ahead. This caused him to crash into four other cars.
The other three car occupants were not hurt in the collision.
