[12-13-2023] Alameda County, CA – 23-Year-Old Driver Killed, Two More Hospitalized Following Reckless Collision Involving Hit-And-Run in Oakland

A 23-year-old driver was killed and two more were hospitalized following a reckless collision involving a hit-and-run in Oakland late Wednesday morning, December 13, 2023.

According to the authorities, the fatal collision happened before 11:00 a.m. between 16th Street and Mandela Parkway.

The driver of a stolen Ford Fusion committed a hit-and-run and sped eastbound before slamming into a Honda sedan carrying two people.

The Honda driver from Oakland died at the scene, while her 24-year-old female passenger and the Ford driver were taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.

The Ford driver is facing arrest for vehicular manslaughter, driving under the influence of drugs, vehicle theft, and hit-and-run charges.

The authorities have not released further information about the fatal collision.
