When two vehicles meet, but the driver of one of the vehicles flees without helping the injured victim, the collision is known as a hit-and-run. In addition to the misery and agony brought on by accidents that result in injuries, hit-and-run occurrences can escalate if the victims do not obtain prompt medical care.
Vehicles that fail to yield to pedestrians or suddenly stop are more likely to injure or kill pedestrians. As a precaution, pedestrians must avoid alcohol and illegal drugs when crossing parking lots and driveways.
