[12-20-2022] Riverside County, CA – Two Officers Hospitalized After Getting Rammed by Car During Pursuit

Two officers were sent to the hospital after getting rammed by a car during a pursuit in Palm Springs on Tuesday evening, December 20, 2022.

According to the Palm Springs Police Department, the crash occurred around 10:00 p.m. in a cul-de-sac in Palm Springs after the suspects were stopped near Murray Canyon Drive and South Toledo Avenue.

The car sped off instead of pulling over, resulting in a pursuit. In the cul-de-sac, the two officers were pinned between their and the suspects’ vehicles after they exited their car, and the suspects backed up at high speed.

The suspects fled the scene once more but were finally located and arrested with the help of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department helicopter.

The officers were injured and hospitalized but are fortunately now in stable condition.

The suspects’ identities have not been released yet as the investigation continued.
