[09-02-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – Two People Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Big Rigs on Interstate 5

According to the  Los Angeles County Fire Department, a multi-vehicle collision involving two big rigs resulted in two people being transported to a hospital on Interstate 5 Friday afternoon, September 2, 2022.

According to Spokesman Ruben Munoz, the crash occurred just before 2:00 p.m. northbound on Interstate 5 and south of Valencia Boulevard.

The multi-vehicle collision involved two sedans and two big rigs.

When the call came in, it said there had been a big accident with people trapped, but Munoz said that no one was trapped when the firefighters got there.

Munoz says that two people with injuries were taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital to get care. When this was written, no one knew how bad these injuries were.

One of the significant rig drivers at the scene, who didn’t want to give his name, said that the car in front of him slammed on its brakes, which caused him to crash into the car in front of him.

The reason for the crash is still being looked into.
