[09-25-2022] Hit-and-Run Accident in Mid-City Leaves One DeathA motorcyclist died after a hit-and-run accident in the Mid-City neighborhood on Sunday, September 25, 2022.

The mishap occurred around 10:20 p.m. on Fairfax Avenue, close to the Santa Monica (10) Freeway entrance.

According to the LAPD, a black, four-door sedan was driving north on Fairfax Avenue when it struck a man riding a 2023 Kawasaki ZX-6R south on Fairfax Avenue in the Number 2 traffic lane.

The black sedan was turning left onto the westbound 10 Freeway on-ramp.

The motorcyclist, in his 20s, passed away there and then. He was not immediately identifiable, according to the available information.

The city of Los Angeles has set up a standing reward of up to $50,000 for assistance in solving a fatal hit-and-run. Police asked anyone to call 213-473-0234 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
