[05-03-2023] Santa Barbara County, CA – Three Injured After Rollover Car Crash on Highway 101 Near Gaviota

05-03-2023-Three-Injured-After-Rollover-Car-Crash-on-Highway-101-Near-GaviotaThe Santa Barbara County Fire Department reported that a rollover car accident on Highway 101 near Gaviota resulted in three injuries on Wednesday afternoon, May 03, 2023.

Firefighters and other emergency personnel were dispatched around 3:57 p.m. on the Highway’s northbound lane, just north of the Gaviota Rest Area.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a GMC pickup truck flipped over and rested on its roof, blocking the right-hand and center lanes.

The SBCFD reported that a female adult passenger was seriously injured and flown to a nearby hospital by a Calstar medical helicopter.

The female driver and a young female passenger were the other two occupants who suffered minor injuries. The two individuals were transported by an AMR ambulance to the same nearby hospital.

Information about their names or conditions was unavailable.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
