[05-30-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – Bus Stop Pedestrian Injured After Being Hit by Vehicle in Long Beach

A pedestrian sitting at a bus stop was injured after being hit by a vehicle in Long Beach on Tuesday evening, May 30, 2023.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the crash happened around 8:40 p.m. at a bus stop between 10th Street and Cherry Avenue.

A driver reportedly swerved off the road and struck the woman inside the bus stop, who was trapped and had to be extricated by the Long Beach Fire Department.

The victim sustained lower body injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, while the driver was left unharmed.

The authorities are investigating the crash with the help of the driver involved.
