[04-10-2025] Riverside County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with Construction Tractor on Domenigoni Parkway

A 67-year-old motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a construction tractor in the Winchester area of Riverside County on Thursday afternoon, April 10, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after 2 p.m. at the intersection of Leon Road and Domenigoni Parkway.

Investigators report that Walter S., a Hemet resident, was riding his Yamaha V-Star eastbound on Domenigoni Parkway when he collided with a John Deere tractor performing construction work in the area.

The tractor was crossing Leon Road from north to south. CHP officers stated that, for reasons still under investigation, the rider collided with the tractor, and the impact caused him to be thrown from his motorcycle. He was found in the intersection and was declared dead at the scene by Riverside County Fire Department paramedics.

The 31-year-old driver of the tractor was uninjured and was questioned at the scene but not arrested. Investigators are uncertain whether speed, drugs, or alcohol were factors in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
