[04-29-2022] Riverside County, CA - Multi-Vehicle Crash near Lake Matthews Injures Three PeopleThree people were hurt after a major multi-vehicle crash near Lake Matthews on Friday, April 29, 2022.

The collision transpired at approximately 12:05 p.m. at the intersection of El Sobrante Road and Vista del Lago.

A red Nissan pickup truck and two other vehicles were involved in the collision. The circumstances surrounding the crash have not been established.

Two people were trapped inside their vehicles and had to be extricated by emergency personnel. One was taken to Riverside Community Hospital and was listed in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the second person was airlifted to a nearby trauma center. A third person was also injured and suffered from minor injuries.

The California Highway Patrol further investigates the cause of the collision and the liability.
