A female pedestrian identified as Samantha S. was killed after a deadly pedestrian crash in Bakersfield on Friday night, October 22.

A 2012 Chrysler 200 and 1999 Toyota Sienna initially crashed on the roadway. Both drivers exited their vehicles to exchange information when a 2005 Acura RSX drove through the crash scene.

The 2005 Acura RSX attempted to avoid the crash site but struck the female pedestrian instead. The female pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash and was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.

Drugs and alcohol were not considered as factors in the accident. Local authorities are further investigating the crash.
