[04-17-2026] Fresno County, CA – One Injured After Crash Involving Semi Truck at Maple Ave. and American Ave.

A 24-year-old man was injured after a crash involving a semi truck in Fresno County on Friday, April 17, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at the intersection of Maple Avenue and American Avenue.

A Chevrolet pickup traveling southbound on Maple Avenue was struck by a three-axle Volvo semi truck traveling westbound on American Avenue after the semi failed to stop at a stop sign.

The impact caused the pickup to spin out, hit a telephone pole, and come to rest against an orchard.

The driver of the pickup, a 24-year-old man from Fowler, was not wearing a seat belt and sustained minor injuries. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The driver of the semi truck was not injured. No passengers were reported in either vehicle.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
