[07-07-2026] El Dorado County, CA – Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle in Cameron Park

A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Cameron Park, El Dorado County, on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred near Cameron Park Drive and Oxford Road.

Authorities said a black Kia was traveling northbound on Cameron Park Drive when it drifted onto the shoulder and struck an adult pedestrian in the same direction. The impact sent the pedestrian into a drainage ditch.

The pedestrian was transported to a hospital with major injuries and later died. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The CHP is continuing to investigate the incident.
