[08-28-2026] Santa Clara County, CA – Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Milpitas

A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash at an apartment complex in Milpitas on Friday, August 28, 2026.

According to the Milpitas Police Department, officers responded shortly after noon to the Mill Creek Apartments at 440 Dixon Landing Road following a report of a hit-and-run crash in the parking lot.

Police found a woman with significant injuries; she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses reported seeing a blue SUV leaving the area immediately after the incident. Officers later located the vehicle in a nearby parking lot that matched the description and had significant damage consistent with the crash.

Police arrested a 32-year-old Milpitas resident. Authorities did not immediately release the person’s identity or additional information about the arrest.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
