[12-11-2023] 77-Year-Old Killed, Driver Injured Following Hit-and-Run Collision Along Highway 99A 77-year-old named John O. was killed and the driver was injured following a hit-and-run collision in Fresno County on Monday afternoon, December 11, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened around 3:00 p.m. along Highway 99.

A female pickup truck driver and her 77-year-old husband, who had just beat cancer, were heading home when a Chrysler 200 sedan swerved and struck them. The pickup lost control and went into the center divide.

The Chrysler driver reportedly fled the scene while both the pickup driver and her passenger suffered injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital, where John O. succumbed to his injuries.

The authorities are currently on the lookout for the suspect driver. Anyone with information is urged to call CHP.
