[03-22-2024] Los Angeles County, CA – Construction Worker Rescued from Unstable Scaffolding in Van Nuys

A construction worker was rescued after becoming stranded on unstable scaffolding in Van Nuys, Los Angeles County, on Friday afternoon, March 22, 2024.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident was reported around 4:41 p.m. in the 7300 block of North Hazeltine Avenue.

Authorities stated that an adult male construction worker was conscious and alert while stranded on scaffolding at the third-floor level behind an apartment building. Officials noted there were conflicting reports regarding the extent of the worker’s injuries.

Crews specially trained in urban search and rescue also responded to assist with the incident. Additional details regarding the worker’s condition have not been released.
