A 64-year-old man identified as Richard A. was killed in a fatal two-vehicle crash in San Dimas on early Sunday morning, September 20.
The crash happened on the westbound side of San Bernardino (10) Freeway at Kellogg Drive at approximately 4:45 a.m. A 2013 Toyota Corolla driven by a 64-year-old man collided with a 2002 Honda Accord for unclear reasons. The collision then caused the 2013 Toyota Corolla to be disabled in the No. 2 lane.
As the 64-year-old man exited his vehicle, a passing 2010 Ford Fusion suddenly struck him and his car. Another vehicle also struck the 64-year-old man, but the driver did not stop and drove away from the scene. The 64-year-old Toyota Corolla driver was fatally injured in the crash.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the 19-year-old Ford Fusion driver sustained unspecified injuries and was rushed to Pomona Valley Hospital. The accident is currently under further investigation.
