A firefighter and a civilian were hurt after a two-vehicle collision involving a firetruck in Stockton on Monday morning, August 2.

A firetruck and a car collided at the intersection under unclear circumstances. Due to the severity of the impact, the firetruck’s trailer tiller ripped off while the driver was still inside before crashing into a real estate office.

The fire truck driver and the other vehicle’s driver were immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment. The firefighter had to undergo surgery after suffering a broken femur and bruised spleen. The other driver is expected to recover.
