[01-12-2022] Lee County, F.L. - Man Attacked and Robbed in a Local Walmart Parking LotA 70-year-old man was seriously hurt after getting punched by a stranger in a Walmart located in Lehigh Acres on January 12, 2022.

The incident happened at around 10:40 a.m. The victim was sitting in his car, waiting for a tech to do an oil change, when the suspect suddenly approached him aggressively.

The suspect then punched the victim unprovoked and repeatedly closed the car door on the victim’s foot. The suspect then grabbed the victim’s $500 shoes and ran away from the scene.

The victim sustained bruises and suffered from chest pains following the incident. He is expected to recover and is in stable condition.

The suspect was later identified as 44-year-old Carlton G. He is now facing burglary, aggravated battery, and petit theft charges. He is being held in the Lee County Jail.
