Four people were seriously injured in a crash involving two vehicles on Lake Boulevard near Oasis Road in Redding on Friday night, June 26, 2026.
According to the Redding Police Department, the crash occurred just before 9 p.m. when a 1997 Honda Odyssey traveling southbound on Lake Boulevard ran a red light and entered the intersection at high speed. The Honda collided with a 2016 Mitsubishi sedan that was pulling out of a nearby business onto Lake Boulevard.
The impact pushed the Honda onto the sidewalk, where it struck two men waiting at a bus stop. All four victims, including the Mitsubishi driver and passenger, sustained serious injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Police identified the Honda driver as 23-year-old Anthony M., who was also injured and later arrested on multiple felony charges. Authorities said the Mitsubishi driver and passenger were found to be under the influence of alcohol.
The crash remains under investigation by the Redding Police Department.
