A 56-year-old man from San Marcos died after being involved in a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Escondido on Thursday, May 15, 2025.
According to the Escondido Police Department, the collision occurred at the intersection of East El Norte Parkway and East Valley Parkway.
The man, identified as Salvador L., was driving a vehicle when it collided with another vehicle under unspecified circumstances.
The man was transported to Palomar Medical Center, located at 2185 Citracado Parkway in Escondido. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at 7:39 p.m.
The incident is under investigation by the Escondido Police Department.
