A 51-year-old motorcyclist was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in the Otay Mesa neighborhood of San Diego on Friday afternoon, April 25, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, officers responded to the 2400 block of Otay Center Drive at approximately 1:14 p.m.
Investigators determined that the motorcyclist was traveling on his 2020 Vento RY motorcycle when a white Jeep struck him and fled southbound.
The motorcyclist suffered a fractured ankle and a dislocated shoulder and was transported to a hospital for treatment. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
It is unknown whether alcohol was a factor in the collision. The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
