[05-03-2025] Riverside County, CA โ€“ One Killed, One Critically Injured in Crash Involving Off-Road Vehicles and Car in Perris

One person was killed and another was critically injured following a crash involving a car and two off-road vehicles in Perris on Saturday evening, May 3, 2025.

According to the Riverside County Sheriffโ€™s Department, the collision occurred around 7:15 p.m. near Walnut and El Nido avenues.

Responding deputies found two Yamaha Raptors and a Dodge Charger involved in the crash. Authorities reported that one of the Raptor drivers sustained significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second Raptor driver suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital, where they were listed in critical condition.

Investigators stated that the Dodge Charger was traveling westbound on Walnut Avenue when it attempted to use the eastbound lane to pass a group of off-road vehicles traveling ahead, leading to the collision. The driver of the Dodge remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department noted that neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
