Two drivers were injured following a two-vehicle crash on Mines Road in Livermore on Saturday morning, May 3, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 9:00 a.m. south of Tesla Road.
Authorities said the driver of a white Nissan was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control while navigating a left-hand turn, causing the vehicle to cross into opposing traffic and collide head-on with a black pickup truck.
The driver of the Nissan sustained major injuries, while the pickup truck driver suffered minor injuries. Photos posted by CHP showed both vehicles with significant front-end damage.
The crash remains under investigation.
