[07-23-2025] Napa County, CA โ€“ One Killed, Another Seriously Injured in Head-On Crash on Silverado Trail

One man was killed and another sustained major injuries in a head-on collision in Napa County early Wednesday morning, July 23, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 5:40 a.m. on Silverado Trail near Hardman Avenue, just east of Napa.

A 2016 Honda Civic traveling northbound reportedly crossed over the center line and collided with a 2020 Dodge Challenger.

The driver of the Dodge was trapped in the vehicle and suffered major injuries. Emergency crews extricated him and transported both drivers to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center.

The driver of the Honda, identified as 35-year-old Abel D., was pronounced dead at the hospital. CHP noted he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
