A man in his 30s suffered major injuries after being struck by a compact SUV while in a crosswalk near Churn Creek and Industrial in Redding on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
According to the Redding Fire Department, the victim was alert and informed emergency responders that he was in the crosswalk at the time of the collision. He was reportedly wearing dark clothing.
The Redding Police Department’s traffic unit is investigating the crash. Authorities confirmed that the SUV driver is not being investigated for driving under the influence.
