What To Do After A Truck Accident

Truck accidents can be overwhelming, but being calm and taking the appropriate steps can help you recover physically and financially. Our truck accident lawyers urge taking these steps to protect your rights:

  1. Get Safe And Assess Your Injuries – Call 911 for immediate medical help. Seeing a doctor is important even if you feel fine. Remember that adrenaline can conceal pain, and some injuries take longer to show.
  2. Report The Incident To Police – Police can capture the incident and collect witness accounts while the circumstances are fresh. If you submit an insurance claim or litigate, a police record is essential.
  3. Documentation Of The Accident Scene Is Crucial – Get as much proof as possible. Photograph and video the crash site, injuries, damaged property, and truck. Additionally, you can request eyewitness testimony.
  4. Note All Crucial Facts – Record the names and contact information of all parties involved.
  5. Notify Insurers – Be careful not to overshare and confess guilt. Be careful with your words, for they could hurt your claim.
  6. Ask Arash Law For Help – From investigating accidents to representing clients in court, our lawyers in Fresno County can handle it all.
