[05-10-2025] Orange County, CA – Wrong-Way Driver Killed, Five Injured in Head-On Crash on State Route 241 Near Santiago Canyon Road

A wrong-way driver was killed and five other people were hospitalized following a head-on collision in Orange, early Saturday morning, May 10, 2025.

According to authorities, the crash occurred at approximately 1:14 a.m. on northbound State Route 241 at the Santiago Canyon Road off-ramp.

Authorities stated that a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction collided head-on with another vehicle. The wrong-way driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Five occupants from the other vehicle were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been publicly disclosed.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
