[05-18-2025] Santa Barbara County, CA – Three Killed, Two Seriously Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 1 Near Lompoc

Three people were killed and two others suffered major injuries in a four-vehicle crash on Highway 1 southeast of Lompoc on Sunday evening, May 18, 2025.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the crash occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. One of the involved vehicles had overturned and landed on its roof in the center divider.

Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. An adult female was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Emergency Room with major injuries, while an adult male was transported by ambulance to the same facility, also with major injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
