A woman died, and two of her passengers were injured in a two-car crash in the Rosemont area of Sacramento on Sunday evening, June 15, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of South Watt Avenue and Kiefer Boulevard.
A Lexus and an Infiniti collided after one of the vehicles reportedly ran a red light, though authorities have not yet confirmed which driver was at fault.
The woman driving the Infiniti was transported to a hospital, where she later died from major injuries. A man and a juvenile in her vehicle were also hospitalized. The man suffered moderate injuries, while the juvenile sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the Lexus was not injured. It is currently unknown whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.
